The Telemundo Deportes EN VIVO app is now available on Apple TV, Roku and Amazon Fire TV, in addition to being Chromecast enabled. Customers with these devices can sign in on the app with their pay TV credentials to access hundreds of live events airing on Telemundo and Universo every year, as well as exclusive events and on-demand content.
The launch of the Telemundo Deportes EN VIVO app marks the first time a US network offers a stand-alone, fully-dedicated Spanish-language sports app on connected TV devices. The app features a wide variety of sports events that will include Telemundo's exclusive Spanish-language coverage of the upcoming FIFA Confederations Cup Russia 2017 from June 17 through July 2. All matches will stream live on the app and will be supplemented by exclusive short- and long-form content.
"We are committed to continue enhancing Telemundo Deportes’ multiplatform offerings, so fans can have access to their favorite sports events whenever they want and on the screen of their choice," said Joaquin Duro, Director of Digital Sports for Telemundo Deportes. "As the Telemundo Deportes EN VIVO app continues to attract our viewers, we are excited to offer them more ways to consume our content across all devices."
The app offers live streaming of all FIFA events including the upcoming FIFA Confederations Cup, FIFA World Cup Russia 2018, CONCACAF World Cup qualifiers, Liga MX, Premier League, Boxeo Telemundo and NASCAR. Other features include video on demand such as clips, previews, and highlights, schedule of events, replays, and notification features.
Full access to content on the Telemundo Deportes EN VIVO app is available to authenticated pay TV subscribers at no additional cost. The Telemundo Deportes EN VIVO app is also available on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Telemundo Deportes En Vivo is part of NBCUniversal’s TV Everywhere initiative to make quality content available to pay TV customers where and when they want it.
