As some of the most popular websites out there, sports sites are important for brands and advertisers across the globe. And as one of the fastest-growing communities, US Hispanic users are also growing more important for their strategies.
So, which sports sites are preferred by Hispanic users in the US? Which ones added the most traffic? comScore's July 2016 rankings has some answers.
With no surprise, ESPN stands in the lead, with 2.027 million unique visitors in the month of July, followed by Yahoo Sports-Sporting News Media in second place.
Yahoo!'s site lost users in Latin America, even closing its offices in Mexico and Argentina; yet its sports division continues to gain followers in the US Hispanic market.
In third place, USA TODAY Sports Media Group garnered 1.4 million unique visitors, followed by MSN Sports with 1.2 million and Fox Sports Digital in fifth place with 1.04 million.
Only one sports league made the ranking, and it's not football or basketball, but actually baseball. The MLB's page came in at sixth place with 986,000 unique users.
Another interesting fact are the many English-language media properties on the list, proving how multicultural and mostly bilingual the US Hispanic market really is.
Last on the ranking is ROJADIRECTA.ME, which was shut down as a precautionary measure since July, 2016 in Spain, and is currently on trial to determine if it has committed a crime by facilitating links to watch illegal broadcasts.
